Sri Lanka to purchase electricity from private plants

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Power has decided to purchase electricity from private power plants, says the Minister of Power, Gamini Lokuge.
Minister Gamini Lokuge also stated that a proposal to this effect will be submitted to the Cabinet on Monday (31).
The Minister further stated that the Ceylon Electricity Board is in the process of purchasing fuel directly from the LIOC.
