COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka on Saturday (29) marked one year since it started administering the vaccine against COVID-19.
According to State Minister (Professor) Channa Jayasumana the vaccine distribution is as follows:
A total of 35,634,497 doses of vaccines were administered.
Sinopharm: 23,029,353
Pfizer: 7,798,598
Astrazeneca: 2,899,460
Moderna: 1,592,162
Sputnik; 314,924
1st dose: 16,626,011
2nd dose: 13,911,181
Booster dose; 5,097,305
The COVID-19 vaccination drive in Sri Lanka began on 29th January 2021, with three military personnel in the frontline of combatting the pandemic, receiving the jabs of India’s AstraZeneca COVISHIELD vaccine.
