COLOMBO (News 1st): Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka was summoned to the Police Unit of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Political Victimization, appointed by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Officers of the Police Unit had recorded a statement from the MP for over 2 hours with regard to the Anti-Corruption Committee that was appointed during the Yahapala Administration.
“This commission was appointed to penalize us and take away our civic rights,” said Patali Champika Ranawaka, adding that from 2005 – 2015 the nation was looted and those events were investigated by the former government.
He said the looting from 2005 to 2015 paved the way for Sri Lanka to face its present-day crises.
