Students call for re-opening of Universities

COLOMBO (News 1st); Students of the University of Peradeniya staged a protest on Wednesday (26) demanding the immediate reopening of universities and solutions to many other requests.

Furthermore, the students were involved in a protest blocking the route from Kandy to Colombo.

Moreover, students requested that the Mahapola Scholarship allowance that was slashed for seven years, be re-awarded.

Our correspondent said the students protested for almost an hour.
