COLOMBO (News 1st); People are now seeking the truth and have prioritized looking for a leader with a vision, a leader who can realize their vision, says Ven. Dr. Dambara Amila Thero.
Remarking on the current political crisis in the country, the Thero stated that the price of petrol, among other essential goods, has become unbearable.
Speaking further, he said that the public does not want Sri Lanka to become a Chinese Colony, and neither wants to be impacted by Indian politics.
” We do not want our debt burden to expand further. We don’t know where this will end. The end does not seem so near. There are queues for Gas and Cement. We’re wondering if we have gone back in time,” the Thero stated.
Ven. Dambara Amila Thero added that although they struggle to bring politicians into power and they take that power into their hands, subsequently the very same politicians end up doing everything they’re not supposed to do.
