COLOMBO (News 1st); Two brothers were arrested with a stock of heroin worth over Rs. 70 million, Police said.

The drugs were found during a joint raid carried out by the Bandaragama and Alubomulla Police stations, and the suspects were arrested while packing narcotics at a two storey house on Shanthi Mawatha in Alubomulla.

The arrested persons, aged 25 and 30, have been identified as residents of Thambili Fort, Shanthi Mawatha in Alubomulla.

Police say that Salidu, a leading drug dealer in Panadura, has been identified to be involved in the racket while hiding overseas.

Panadura crime investigators are also conducting investigations, while Bandaragama Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
