COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s Department of Wildlife carried out a mission to rescue a peahen stuck on a minaret at the Jumma Mosque in Colpettyon Wednesday (19).
Officials are still unable to determine how the peahen ended up at the minaret of the Jumma Mosque over a week ago.
Wildlife Officers of the Western province, Air Force officers, Officers of the Environment Unit of the Colpetty Police, and Firemen from the Colombo Fire Brigade banded together to save the peahen.
