Over 5,200 dengue patients reported within last 20 days

COLOMBO (News 1st); Over 5,200 dengue patients have been identified within the last 20 days, says Community Physician of the National Dengue Control Unit, Dr. Indika Weerasinghe.
Accordingly, an island wide dengue eradication program will be implemented on Thursday (20) and Friday (21).
The dengue eradication program is organized by the Ministry of Local Government and Provincial Councils together with the National Dengue Control Unit.
The program will be carried out in all local government areas under the theme 'A Clean Environment - A Healthy Tomorrow'.
Dr. Indika Weerasinghe further noted that the number of patients reported from the Western Province has significantly increased.
