One country, two laws for Ministers: MP Ashok

COLOMBO (News 1st); There is no single law currently at play within the Cabinet of Ministers, alleges Samagi Jana Balawega MP Ashok Abeysinghe. Speaking to media on the removal of the former State Minister Susil Premjayantha from his portfolio, the SJB MP mentioned that the State Minister was removed after he criticized the President. Pointing out that another three Ministers in the very same Cabinet went to Court against the Government and violated the collective responsibility of the Cabinet, the MP said that no steps were taken against the three Ministers. However, State Minister Susil Premjayantha has been removed from his position, mentioned MP Abeysinghe, adding that there is no democracy in the President's Cabinet itself, where Ministers are treated differently to each other.
