State sector employees to be summoned to work from 03rd Jan

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government has decided to summon all State sector employees to service, from the 3rd January.

The Secretary to the Ministry, J.J. Ratnasiri stated that a circular in this regard will be issued on Thursday (30).

With the COVID-19 crisis, State sector employees were allowed to work at the discretion of the head of the institution.

The Secretary to the Ministry added that the public service will be maintained at full capacity from the 3rd of January in accordance with the Health Guidelines issued by the Director General of Health Services.
