Sajith again calls for a pardon for Ranjan

COLOMBO (News 1st); Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has once again called on the President to pardon Former Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake, with all civic rights.

Premadasa visited Ranjan Ramanayake at the Welikada Prison on Monday (20) morning.

"Ranjan Ramanayake was not imprisoned for murder or theft. He spoke on behalf of the people. I spoke to the President to pardon him on several occasions. Therefore, in the name of humanity, we seek a pardon for Ranjan Ramanayake," said Sajith Premadasa.
