NO decision on a lockdown for Christmas or New Year ; says Sri Lanka's Health Chief

COLOMBO (News 1st); There is no decision to lockdown Sri Lanka for the Christmas Holidays or the New Year Season, said the country's Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena on Monday (20).

He said it is paramount for the people to take the necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, especially the Omicron Variant which has entered Sri Lanka with 4 positive cases.
