COLOMBO (News 1st); Another gas tanker has arrived in Sri Lankan waters, according to the Consumer Affairs Authority.
Its Chairman, retired Major General Shantha Dissanayake, said that gas samples would be taken on Saturday (18) to test the ship’s gas quality.
He further stated that the ship had arrived in Sri Lanka from Oman.
Meanwhile, Theshara Jayasinghe, Chairman of Litro Gas, said that the release of gas to the market will resume from Saturday (18).
Meanwhile, it has been decided to submit the report of the Presidential Committee appointed to investigate and find solutions to the gas cylinder explosions to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa next Monday (20).
