Expressway Tragedy: Father and daughter dead in car accident

COLOMBO (News 1st); A fatal road accident near Galanigama on the Southern Expressway on Wednesday (15) resulted in the death of a father (39) and daughter (4), said Sri Lanka Police.

Police say that two people were killed and three others were injured when a car veered off the road.

The tragedy took place when a family was traveling from Matara to Kottawa.

The injured mother and another child are currently receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Nagoda Hospital, Kalutara.

Another injured was admitted to the Horana Base Hospital, Police added.
