No solution to the financial crisis in the country: MP Hesha

COLOMBO (News 1st); SJB MP Hesha Withanage says that there is no solution to the financial crisis in the country. 

Speaking at a press conference convened in Colombo on Sunday (12), MP Withanage stated that nearly 2,000 containers of essential food items in this country have been halted at the port.

Pointing out that a late fee should be paid to the port for the containers that are being halted there, the MP said that the relevant fee has to be paid by the ordinary people living in this country, who are already facing hardships.

Stating that the people of this country always suffers due to the unwise decisions of the Government, MP Withanage said that as a member of the IMF, it is the responsibility of this Government to obtain financial assistance after making an explanation to the people of this country.

Moreover, MP Withanage emphasized that these financial issues cannot be covered up by deceiving the people as the Government has done for so long.

"There is no solution to this financial crisis in this country. Whether they beg from India, beg from China or beg from another country, the Government will not be able to resolve this issue," he added.
