COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister of Justice, Ali Sabry says that the amended act of the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) will be brought forth at the beginning of 2022.

Speaking at the Parliament on Thursday (09), the Justice Minister stated that the report of the committee tasked with amending the act has already been received by the Minister. 

The recommendations of the committee will be further discussed and the relevant amended act will be made public in 2022 so as to not affect National security.
