Dubai Expo 2020: President meets Deputy Ruler of Dubai, discussed bilateral cooperation

(UAE); His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, on Saturday (4) met with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at Expo 2020 Dubai.

During the meeting, HH Sheikh Maktoum welcomed discussed with President Rajapaksa ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Sri Lanka in various fields including economy, culture and tourism.

President Rajapaksa congratulated the UAE on its 50th National Day and stressed Sri Lanka’s keenness to further enhance bilateral relations with the UAE in various sectors for the mutual benefit of the people of the two countries.

President Gotabaya Rakapaksa also visited Expo 2020 at the request of His Highness

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council; His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai; His Excellency Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy; His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, UAE Minister of State; and His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World.
