COLOMBO (News 1st); The health sector warns that the number of COVID-19 infections reported in the country may increase during the upcoming festive season.

Dr. Padma Gunaratne, President of the Sri Lanka Medical Association, urged the public to continue following the previously issued pandemic guidelines.

She also appealed to those over 60 years of age to obtain the booster vaccine as soon as possible.
