COLOMBO (News 1st); The cost incurred to purchase nano urea is far greater than the purchase price of normal urea, says SJB MP Patali Champika Ranawaka.
The MP stated on Saturday (27) that it has been scientifically proven that the cost incurred for nano nitrogen urea is much higher, and in addition, there is also an issue with the calculations made on the cost of the fertilizer.
Speaking further, the MP pointed out that urea contains 46% nitrogen whilst urea contains only 4% nitrogen, and alleged that the Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage changed the name of the product from nano urea to nano nitrogen before submitting the Cabinet paper for approval.
