Namal's way to rid corruption

COLOMBO (News 1st); Human contact should be minimized to reduce corruption, says Minister of Youth and Sports, Namal Rajapakse. 

Speaking at an event in Tangalle today (27), the Minister emphasized that no matter whoever comes into power pledging to end corruption, it cannot be done without reducing human contact in State services.

Emphasizing the importance of providing services to the public via a digital platform, the Minister stated that if any transaction is done via human contact, there is space for corruption to take place.

The Minister also pointed out that the digitalization of the State service via various methods has contributed to a reduction in corruption, and that the Ministry expects to reduce it further via integrating technology in the future as well.
