COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan authorities dug up the carcass of a tusker suspected to have been killed and then buried.
The carcass was exhumed from cultivation located in Kaladiya, based on an order obtained by the Puttalam Magistrate’s Court.
Wildlife Officers suspect the tusker may have been electrocuted after coming into contact with an electric fence set up around the cultivation.
The suspect was earlier arrested and upon interrogation, he had revealed the site where the tusker was buried.
