Conduct of certain MPs could discredit Parliament: MP Amaraweera

COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Environment Mahinda Amaraweera says that the conduct of the current Members of Parliament could lead to the Parliament being discredited at the international level. Speaking to the media after an event held in Colombo yesterday (24), the Minister stated that although he had been a member of the Parliament, he has never seen a Parliament such as this, and cited that the conduct of the current members is also the reason for the people to be fed up with the Parliament. " Insulting women within the Parliament is an act that could not only discredit all 225 members, but is also an act that could discredit Sri Lanka at an international level," he added.
