Three suspects arrested along with illegally assembled vehicles

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police have arrested three suspects in Malabe along with two illegally assembled vehicles, including a jeep and a car. A suspect had been arrested in a raid carried out on a tip off received by the Police along with a  jeep which was assembled with fake number plates. During further investigations, the police arrested two more suspects along with another illegally assembled car and a jeep. Police said that the suspects have been identified as residents of Malabe and Hokandara areas, aged 35 and 38. The suspects were produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court yesterday (21) and the suspects were subsequently released on Rs.100,000 bail each. The case will be taken up again on 03rd December, and meanwhile, Police investigations are currently underway to determine whether the suspects are members of organized crime groups.
