COLOMBO (News 1st); SJB MP Patali Champika Ranawaka today (19) stated that farmers should rally against the corrupt Government as the allegations regarding the fertilizer importation has already been proven true.

Speaking further, the SJB MP said that a sum of Rs. 8,000, which can be given to about 1,000,000 farmer families has each been looted from the nano fertilizers which were provided to the farmers by corrupt rulers.

As the allegation has now been proven, Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage who went to the CID should now be questioned by the CID on this matter, he added.

Questioning as to who was behind this racket, MP Ranawaka said that an unknown company has prepared its account on the 18th day of October 2021, which was the day the cabinet paper was publicized. These payments were made on the 19th, and this account has since been closed.

” On behalf of the farming community, we demand that the law be enforced immediately against all those involved, regardless of their rank, whether they are State Ministers, Ministers or people above such positions,” he said.

The people of this country and the farmers should now rally against this corrupt fraud if the Government does not intervene, he added.
