Stop the witch-hunt against Catholic priests: Sajith

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Government has commenced a witch-hunt against Catholic Priests of Sri Lanka, says Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, alleging that the Government is on the hunt for Rev. Fr. Cyril Gamini and the Archbishop of Colombo His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith.

Participating in a protest held in Kegalle, the Opposition Leader emphasized that all the masterminds behind the Easter Sunday attack will be brought to justice, and assured that an SJB Government will ensure it happens.

Speaking further, the SJB Leader also stated the youth who painted murals on walls earlier are now queuing up to leave the country.

Pointing out that certain members of the Government are now making statements opposing the ruling party itself, the Opposition Leader challenged such members to leave the party and to join the SJB to create a common platform in the country.

Additionally, he also inquired for the reason for such members of the Government to state such opinions while they remained speechless when national assets were being sold and when Cabinet papers betraying the country were approved.
