President meets with Prince Charles at COP26

COLOMBO (News 1st); President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had met with the Crown Prince of England, Prince Charles at the COP26 summit currently being held at Glasgow, recently. The Presidential Media Division issuing a release stated that the President had met with several world leaders on the sidelines of the summit, including the Crown Prince of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, The Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba, the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Nations Patricia Scotland,  the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Director-General of the World Trade Organization,  Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. The President had discussed the provision of vocational opportunities for more Sri Lankans with the Crown Prince of Bahrain, and for the further strengthening of relations between the two countries. Moreover, the President had also discussed increasing flights between Nepal and Sri Lanka with the Prime Minister of Nepal, Sher Bahadur Deuba. Additionally, the President had also discussed several topics of interest, including for further development of the country's tourism sector and economy with several other world leaders.
