COLOMBO (News 1st);  Minister S.M. Chandrasena says that the decision to ban chemical fertilizer was done as a trial.

The Minister of Lands, speaking today said that the decision was taken as a trial to implement organic fertilizer in the country.

Speaking further, Chandrasena said that if the results are not favorable after it is implemented during the Maha season, The President will allow for the usage of both chemical and organic fertilizers during the next Yala season.
