COLOMBO (News 1st); It is reported that MPs and ministers are to be given permission to import duty-free vehicles.

The matter was reportedly discussed at Sunday’s (24) ruling party meeting in Colombo, chaired by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

SLPP General Secretary & Member of Parliament Sagara Kariyawasam said the matter was brought up at Sunday’s (24) meeting after MPs earlier had requested to postpone the decision.

“Not definite decision was reached, however, it is time to revisit that matter,” said Kariyawasam.
