AMS cautions about another COVID-19 surge: The final nail on coffin of a battered economy

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Association of Medical Specialists (AMS) has cautioned the general public that the irresponsible and complacent attitude of certain groups of individuals will make another COVID-19 surge inevitable. In a release, the AMS has praised the actions already taken by the Government with regard to curbing COVID-19 and had saluted all other active participants of the country who assisted for the curbing of the virus. Emphasizing that irresponsible behavior not only undermines what Sri Lanka had already achieved but also sends wrong signals to the rest of the general public to follow suit, the AMS says that another COVID-19 surge will be final nail on the coffin of an already battered economy of the country. Therefore, the AMS has urged all citizens of the country, Opposition parties and other organizations to join hands to see an end to COVID-19 with responsible behavior during this critical period of time.
