President in Parliament, as Justice Minister presents amendments

COLOMBO (News 1st); President Gotabaya Rajapaksa visited the Parliament to witness the Parliamentary session taking place today (21).

Parliament Sittings commenced today (21) at 10.00 a.m. and time was allotted in taking up Questions for oral Answers from 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.

Thereafter,

1. The Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill,

2. Regulations under the Civil Procedure Code,

3. Youthful Offenders (Training Schools) (Amendment) Bill and

4. The Penal Code (Amendment) Bill will be debated.

Thereafter, from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. the Adjournment Debate on "Current Issues with regard to the matters pertaining to the issuing of fertilizers to the farmers in the Country" will be held as per a motion moved by the Opposition.
