Showers & thundershowers expected today

COLOMBO (News 1st); Showers or thundershowers will occur in many parts of the island this evening (20), the Met Department said. The Department of Meteorology further stated that heavy showers of more than 100 mm are also possible in some places. Showers or thundershowers will also occur during the morning in the eastern and southern coastal areas. Additionally, the Meteorological Department urges the public to take necessary measures to reduce the risk of temporary strong winds and thunderstorms.
