COLOMBO (News 1st); Prisoners are no longer permitted to use hand sanitizer.

Prisons Commissioner and Spokesperson Chandana Ekanayake told News 1st that inmates will be provided with soap instead of hand sanitizer after two Iranians died from consuming hand sanitizer.

He said prisoners can use hand sanitizer under exceptional circumstances, under the supervision of prison officers.
