Price of goods and services will only increase: Kumara Welgama

COLOMBO (News 1st); Considering the current situation in the country, the price of goods and services will only increase, SJB MP Kumara Welgama says. Alleging that Minister of Trade, Bandula Gunawardena's opinions keep on changing day by day, Welgama said that although the Government promised to import organic fertilizer, they have instead imported chemical fertilizer. "By importing rice manufactured overseas and importing chemical fertilizer, the Government is acting out a drama," he said. The Government's intention is to import rice from overseas and destroy the livelihood of the farmers, and it is a mafia connected to foreign countries because now they are planning to sell the country, piece by piece, to other nations, Welgama added.
