Two Cops stabbed in Mutuwal

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two police constables who were on a foot patrol were injured when they were attacked with a sharp weapon in Mutuwal yesterday (15). Police stated that the two injured constables have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital. The two police constables attached to the Mutuwal Police Station were assaulted near the Modara Eli House park stadium while on a patrol at around midnight yesterday. Police say a man who was hiding in a deserted garden had assaulted police officers with a concealed knife while the police were investigating the area. The arrested suspect is due to be produced in Court today (16).
