Govt to bring liquid fertilizer from India

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Agriculture has decided to import two million liters of Nano Nitrogen liquid fertilizer from India. Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture, Prof. Uditha K. Jayasinghe said this Nano Nitrogen liquid fertilizer, which is due to be imported from a company in the state of Gujarat in India, is one of the most technologically advanced plant nutrients in the world. He said that the first consignment will be airlifted to Sri Lanka next Tuesday. The Agriculture Ministry secretary further noted that this consignment of liquid fertilizer is being imported with the intervention of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Prof. Uditha K. Jayasinghe added that there is a high demand in the world for this type of fertilizer, which has a higher productivity than the urea fertilizer, which is currently in use.
