Govt. should save Sri Lanka from famine: MP Alawatuwala

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Government must immediately reverse it's ban on chemical fertilizer to save Sri Lanka from famine, Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP J.C. Alawatuwala says. Speaking to to media today (16), the MP emphasized that the Government should put aside their arrogance if they want to save the country from a famine by thinking of the people and the farmers. " Today the common man of this country is in a place where they can not afford to eat even once in a while. This country has been turned into such a place where people are robbed and tortured by the Government, and by allowing their close friends to earn money." The SJB MP mentioned that every Sri Lankan, including the 6.9 million who voted for this presidency have lost faith in it. " The youth who were excited for this Government and painted on the walls are now in the queue for passports to leave the country.
