99% of eligible population vaccinated with first dose: Presidential Secretariat

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Presidential Secretariat says that 99% of the eligible target population of the country have been vaccinated with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine so far. Meanwhile, 85% of the eligible population have been administered the second dose as well. Moreover, a total of 73,807 vaccine doses were administered in Sri Lanka yesterday (15). Accordingly, 14,280 second doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, 5,937 first doses and 45,396 second doses of the Sinopharm vaccine, 7,161 first doses and 628 second doses of the Pfizer vaccine, and 32 first doses and 405 second doses of the Moderna vaccine were administered yesterday (15).
