COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan Public Health Inspectors point out that university students have shown a sense of reluctance to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine.
Chairman of the Public Health Inspector Union of Sri Lanka Upul Rohana speaking to News 1st said as a percentage the number of people between 20 to 30 years in Sri Lanka who obtained the vaccine is less than 55%.
He said University Students must obtain the vaccine as soon as possible, without having preferences over vaccines, as all vaccines are approved for administration.
At the same time, Chairman of the University Grants Commission Professor Sampath Amaratunga told News 1st that if students obtain the vaccine soon, it would be possible to re-open universities as soon as possible.
