LTTE - PTA Detainee released after 12 years

COLOMBO (News 1st); An LTTE inmate who was incarcerated for over 12 years was released from prison on Monday (11).
This was confirmed to News 1st by the Prisons Spokesperson and Commissioner Chandana Ekanayake.
He said the detainee was arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act and was identified as a 29-year-old from Akkaraipattu in Ampara.
The detainee who was held at the Colombo Magazine Prison was released on Sunday (10) following a PCR test.
