COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Home Affairs has commenced a survey on people over the age of 20, who have not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Secretary to the Ministry of Home Affairs, N.H.M. Chithrananda said that the relevant data will be obtained at the district level.
Accordingly, the District Secretaries have been instructed to submit a report to the Ministry on 11 October with the information on people over 20 years, who have not been vaccinated.
The Secretary to the Ministry of Home Affairs said that according to surveys, about 70,000 people over the age of 60 have not yet been vaccinated.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has also requested the public to inform their relevant Grama Niladhari Officer if they have not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine.
The survey is being conducted under the guidance of the Presidential Task Force on Prevention of COVID-19.
