67 children succumb to COVID-19

COLOMBO (News 1st); Specialist Dr. Kapila Jayaratne says that 67 children in the country have died due to COVID-19 so far. Speaking at a press conference organized by the Health Promotion Bureau, he said that 53,801 children in the country have been infected with COVID-19. Meanwhile, the program to inoculate children with comorbidities over the age of 12 years is currently underway, and over 10,000 children have been vaccinated so far.
