This Govt. does not sell National assets: Rohitha

COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Ports and Shipping Rohitha Abeygunawardena says that the Government does not have a 'sell out' policy.

" Our government led by Gotabaya Rajapaksa is not focused on selling National assets for our well being. It was the UNP that followed this policy of selling assets. They sold the Hambantota port." he said.

" But when President Mahinda Rajapaksa was in power, the Government gained control of Sri Lankan Airlines and the insurance cooperation. Therefore our Government will not sell away National assets. But we welcome private investors for projects. These will be Public Private Partnership investments." The Minister added.
