Kerawalapitiya deal puts country at risk, warns Sajith

COLOMBO (News 1st); Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa points out that the transfer of control of the Kerawalapitiya Yugadanavi power plant to an overseas company, puts Sri Lanka's energy sector at risk.

"No country in the world integrates natural gas supply tenders and related infrastructure development," he said.

The Leader of the Opposition said in a statement that by taking such an action, the said company would have the ability to secure the country's energy sector, as well as the country.
