Taliban announces interim Government

(News 1st): The Taliban announced an interim Government in Afghanistan today (7). The new Government is led by Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund and the Prime Minister, with Taliban co-founder Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar as the deputy Prime Minister, Taliban Spokesperson said. Taliban's Chief spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid told a press conference that the new Afghanistan Government will only be 'acting' and will be headed by Mullah Akhund. The second Deputy will be Mawlavi Hanafi. The Spokesperson further stated that the Acting Minister of Defence will be Mullah Yaqoub, the Acting Minister of Interior will be Serajuddin Haqqani, Mullah Amir Khan Muttaqi as Foreign Minister and Zabihullah Mujahid as the Information Minister.
