Two arrested for posting compromising photos

COLOMBO (News 1st): Two suspects have been arrested for threatening to post compromising photos of a woman on Facebook and demanding a ransom of Rs. 200,000 today (28). Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that the suspects have been identified as undergraduates in software engineering, aged 20 and 23. Police also seized two computers and two mobile phones in the possession of the suspects. The Police Media Spokesman said that the Police Computer Crimes Division, which was established on 24 March, has received 1,912 complaints so far.
