Philippines extends travel ban to Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Philippines has extended a ban on travelers from nine countries due to the risk posed by the contagious Delta COVID-19 variant, the Philippines Presidential Spokesperson says. Accordingly, Philippines has extended its travel ban to Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia until 31 August. The Spokesperson of the President Rodrigo Duterte said that the President has approved the relevant measure on the recommendation of the National COVID-19 Task Force.
