Validity period of driving licences extended, RMV closed for one week

COLOMBO (News 1st) : State Minister of Transport Dilum Amunugama says that the validity period of driving licenses have been extended to 31 December. He stated in response to a query raised by a journalist during a media briefing held at the Ministry of Transport today (12). Moreover, the Werahera and Narahenpita offices of the Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed for seven days from next Monday due to reports of COVID-19 infections within the staff, State Minister Amunugama added.
