Almost 500,000 vaccinated yesterday

COLOMBO (News 1st); Almost 500,000 persons were inoculated yesterday (09), marking the highest number of persons vaccinated within a day at 490,805. According to the statistics of the Epidemiology Unit, 25,576 persons have been administered the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, 3,620 persons have been administered the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, 153,958 have been vaccinated with the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine, while 307,267 have been vaccinated with the second dose of the Sinopharm vaccine. Meanwhile, 169 persons have been inoculated with the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine while 215 have been administered the second dose of Pfizer.
