COLOMBO (News 1st); An amount of Ammonia Nitrate has disappeared from the Sri Lanka Air Force compound in Welisara, the Police Media Spokesperson SDIG Ajith Rohana says.

Officials at the compound suspect that the disappearance of chemicals as a robbery while the chemical is known to be utilized as explosives.

The Police Media Spokesperson said that four suspects, including a Sergeant of the Air Force, one Navy Personnel, and another two civilians have been arrested. The relevant suspects will be produced before Court tomorrow (10).

A three-wheeler, alongside 70 kg of the stolen chemicals has also been seized by the Police.
