COLOMBO (News 1st); The Maharagama Police Chief Inspector has suffered serious physical injuries following a scuffle with protestors close to the Parliament on Tuesday (03).

Police Spokesperson Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said the CI suffered serious injuries to two of his fingers when protestors toppled barricades that were placed to prevent them from moving forwards.

The Maharagama Police Chief Inspector was rushed to hospital for immediate treatment, said the Police Spokesperson.
